Taste of History Tour

Allow costumed interpreters, who travel with you by bus on your journey, help transport you back to a time when this special place was once one of the richest regions in Canada with a flourishing lumber industry supported by portable sawmills during the golden age of sail. Learn about what life was life during the 1800’s when the once thriving lumber industry supported the building of over 500 sailing ships in nearby St. Martins. Taste a sample of authentic Maritime delicacies such as fiddleheads, dulse and a lumberjack’s hearty meal in a replica heritage cookhouse. You’ll get to experience the weekly highlight of their social life by tapping your toes and listening to the sounds of a fiddle.
