The provincial government says they are making good on a campaign promise bring back early French immersion programs in New Brunswick Schools. The province says starting next September it will bring back french immersion to Grade 1. In 2008 the former Shawn Graham liberal government delayed the start of French immersion programs to Grade 3. Premier Brian Gallant says the province is responding to studies that show teaching second languages is more effective at an earlier age.
