Now that they finally have the excavator out of the way, experts are assessing the damage to the century old covered bridge in French Village.

Shawn Berry, in the Transportation and Infrastructure Department said in an email to the Telegraph-Journal the assessment which began yesterday will determine the scope of repairs required and a timeline. The costs won’t be known until that’s done.
