Grand Manan ferry going down

Getting to Grand Manan may take longer later this month. The 82 car ferry, Grand Manan Adventure, will be taken out of service September 12 for eingine work.

Grand Manan Mayor Dennis Greene told the Telegraph-Journal it could be out of service for 12 days. The smaller, older Grand Manan V will be the only boat on the run. Green is concerned how that will affect bus tours which often head to the Island in the shoulder season. Trucks, which carry food and other supplies, could also be affected.
