The Fisher Cats won game one of their best of five senior baseball playoff series 5-4 over the Alpines in 12 innings. Game two goes this evening at Kiwanis park.

It was a light night in the majors with the Blue Jays, Red Sox, Orioles and Yankees all taking the day off. Toronto still has a two game lead over Boston heading into a weekend series against the Rays.

In the CFL…the Redblacks beat the Alouettes 19-14 in Montreal.  Patriots lost 17-9 to the Giants in NFL Pre-season action.
