Bicycle getaway thwarted

Trying to make your getaway by bicycle from a police cruiser…while carrying a stolen kayak on your shoulder…not a good idea.

Police saw a man on a mountain bike on King Street West, carrying a kayak, Saturday night and tried to pull him over but he pedalled faster trying to get away. He didn’t.

The man was arrested and charged with break and enter and possession of stolen property. He’l.l be in court at a later date.
