Blaine Higgs on his plans as PC Leader

New provincial PC leader Blaine Higgs has outlined some of his plans.

In a Facebook Live chat he wouldn’t commit to repealing the hike in the HST. He also said he plans to learn French, among other things.

On another matter, Higgs told CBC there was nothing improper about him accepting free tickets for the Cavendish Beach Festival from the Atlantic Lottery Corporation while he was finance minister in the Alward Government. He said the value was less than the limit of $250 where he would have to report it to the Conflict of Interest Commissioner. He also said it’s a good way to do business with lottery officials..
