BC L-N-G protests

Ottawa is standing by its approval of a major  L-N-G project in British Columbia despite opponents trying to quash the government’s approval of the venture.

Environment Minister Catherine McKenna says Pacific NorthWest L-N-G project underwent a rigorous assessment with indigenous groups taking part…but two First Nations groups claim the government failed to consult them properly. An environmental group is also challenging the government conclusion that it won’t impact salmon significantly.
