Excavator finally removed from under bridge

They have finally removed that excavator that crashed through the deck of the Hammond River #2 Bridge three weeks ago.

A crew of construction workers managed to untangle the machine from the bridge structure and the excavator quickly climbed back up the hill and was taken away. There’s still a large hole in the bridge and engineers are assessing the damage done when the machine loaded with timbers crashed through the deck.
