AIDS Saint John is getting ready to distribute kits to drug users which can counter an opiate overdose.

Naloxone is being touted in some provinces as a step to quelling deaths due to overdoses of fentanyl, a highly concentrated opiate. The groups’ Diane Kern told the Telegraph-Journal AIDS Saint John is working with nursing students at U-N-B to set up a training plan for various institutions in Saint John to learn how to administor the epi pens with Naloxone .
