No charges against Deputy Chief
The deputy police chief won’t be facing any criminal charges in connection with the Dennis Oland case and trial.
Halifax police were brought in to investigate allegations made by another officer that Deputy Chief Glen McCloskey tried to influence his testimony at the murder trial about McCloskey’s presence at the crime scene.
Halifax police concluded there was no evidence to support criminal charges. However, the New Brunswick Police Commission is still investigating under the police act.
