Premier talks French immersion this aft.

The Premier is set to announce improvements to French immersion this afternoon.

Premier Brian Gallant says he’s heard complaints from rural New Brunswickers that their children don’t have access to French immersion in their schools.

Most Anglophone schools don’t offer French immersion…only 91 out of 212.  The low numbers may have something to do with the cost of hiring extra staff and offering transportation for French students in rural areas.
