NB Olympian victim of hacker

An Olympic bronze medalist from New Brunswick is the victim of a Russian hacker. Fredericton’s Catherine Pendrel, who won bronze in Mountain biking in Rio, saw confidential therapeutic information leaked by the group calling itself Fancy Bear.

It stole files from the World Anti-Doping Agency and has been releasing personal information about athletes who were granted exemptions to take normally banned substances. That’s apparently in retaliation for the sanctions against Russian athletes by the I-O-C for doping.
