City Hall shrinking?

City Hall may be moving…or at least shrinking.

Common Council is looking for a real estate agent to explore options to reduce city hall’s office space and potentially find a new location, according to the Telegraph-Journal.

That could include using the City Market’s head tower for office space. City staff have surveyed current space and determined it could get by with as much as 25% less. Current rent is $1.7 million a year but there are no numbers on how much the city is hoping to save by cutting back or moving.
