Family of Nine Escape Saint John Fire

A family of two adults and seven children narrowly escaped a house fire in Saint John on Friday night. The fire broke out at house on Pleasant Street in west Saint John shortly before midnight. They awoke to neighbours yelling and banging on their door with the front deck of the house fully engulfed and flames on the first floor. The two adults and seven children all managed to get out safely. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
