Public hearing on seniors housing project

A public hearing in Rothesay was packed last night as people expressed opinions about a proposed senior housing development.

The Telegrapph-Journal reports town staff and the developer answered questions about the project which would have 65 condo units in nine buildings at Hillcrest Drive and Hampton Road.

Some residents were in favour of more seniors housing…some were opposed with concerns about traffic and storm water management.

Town councilors did not make any decision at the meeting.
