Provincial $ for Imperial Theatre

The Gallant Government has committed $235,000 for the renovations at the Imperial Theatre. This leaves the theatre group about $850,000 short of the $3 million needed to finish the exterior upgrade.

The Theatre, in the last week, also asked the councils of Saint John, Quispamsis and Rothesay if they would be willing to contribute any funding towards the renovations. No firm commitments from any of them yet.
