Frank McKenna on Energy East
Former premier Frank McKenna is shooting down suggestions the Energy East Pipeline is doomed after the dismissal of the three member N-E-B panel conducting hearings last week.
The Telegraph-Journal reports McKenna, a long time proponent, says Atlantic Canada should get extraordinarily upset if the pipeline is blocked for political reasons. He also expects the western provinces to protest loudly if the pipeline is blocked…just as loudly as the protests against it in Quebec.
McKenna says the Trudeau Government will eventually be faced with a difficult decision, but that the project has merit on its side.
