Irving Expands

Irving Oil is extending its holdings overseas.

It announced yesterday that it has finalized its acquisition of the Whitegate refinery near Cork, Ireland, but did not release the value of the deal.

Irving, along with the Houston-based company Phillips 66, bought the facility, which is Ireland’s sole refinery.

Irving says it plans to operate the facility with the existing workforce.
