Possible cougar hit on Highway 1

A woman is sure she hit a cougar Monday night on Highway 1 between Saint John and Sussex.  Tara Martin’s car got about $1000 in front end damage, with the Telegraph-Journal reporting hair samples are being sent to the New Brunswick Museum to see if it actually was one.  There’s no known wild cougar population in the province, but it could’ve been one that was in captivity.
