NBCC Saint John evacuated after accident takes out power pole

The New Brunswick Community College in Saint John was evacuated and traffic on Grandview Avenue was blocked after a transport truck took down a power pole this morning.

The truck was pulling into the college’s parking lot at about 9:20 a.m., when the trailer caught the lines and brought down the pole, said Saint John Police Force Sgt. Tom Clayton.

No one was injured.
