A familiar face on Canadian TV is retiring.

CBC news anchor Peter Mansbridge has announced he’ll be retiring next summer after a career that has spanned almost five decades. He’s been anchor of the TV news for 28 years.

Mansbridge started his career at the local CBC radio station in Chuirchill manitoba after the station manager heard him annnouncing flights at the airport there.
