South end parking

Common Council is moving to eliminate free parking in south end.

The Saint John Parking Commission wants to extend the enforcement area to include the entire southernmost part of the peninsula so that the commission can enforce the same two-hour parking rule that is used in other parts of the city. Once the changes come into effect, residents in the area will be issued parking permits.

Mayor Don Darling wants the parking commission to make sure residents get the information they need on where they can and cannot park.
