Water update going to council

Common Council will get an update on the water situation today.

Saint John Water Commissioner Brent McGovern says there has been a 4% drop in water consumption since he warned us about the low water levels in the watershed lakes last week. Spruce Lake, Latimer Lake and Loch Lomond Lake are down because of the dry summer.
McGovern will tell Councillors today whether he thinks there might need to be restrictions or something like a boil order because of exposed sediment.
